The latest round of Bernicia Foundation funding has now closed – with a huge ‘thank you’ from trustees to the dozens of people and organisations who applied.
So please, don’t apply for this latest round of funding as we won’t be able to consider your application at the moment.
But don’t worry. There will still be more opportunities to apply in the future and we will be launching a new funding round at the end of this year.
We’ll let you know when this is to give you plenty of time to prepare bids.
Trustees and our friends at the Community Foundation are now working their way through a host of bids from across the North East for Inclusion Grant and Inspiration Grant funding.
In total, the latest round of foundation funding saw £135,000 made available to bid for.
Community groups, voluntary organisations, registered charities, social enterprises and co-operatives bid for Inclusion Grant support, while young people and those supporting people aged 24 and under applied for Inspiration Grant funding.
We’re assessing all the bids and aim to contact all the successful applicants with their good news by November at the latest. We’ll also get in touch with those who haven’t been successful this time around to encourage them to try again.
The Bernicia Foundation encourages applications from organisations committed to delivering real community benefits, such as tackling loneliness and accessing employment opportunities, as well as providing support for young talent in the North East to flourish.
Once again, thank you to each and everyone who has applied for Bernicia Foundation funding – we’ll update you soon with more success stories about the inspirational people and organisations who are using our funding to help North East communities and people thrive.
